crash of a slave node

Hi everyone,

How to investigate a crash of a slave node in a BZ27-7 cluster?
syslogd and klogd are not started on the slave nodes.
/var/log/beowulf/node.x on the master node doesn't have any info on the 
crash
and it seems legitimate.

Is there any time-out in the cluster communication?
It seems that if a node is disconnected for more 30s the node crashes
when the communication is reestablished.
