Dear all,

it gives me great pleasure to announce just after Easter the upcoming
EasyBuild User Meeting (EUM26) which will happen in Guimarães/Portugal
between the 21.4. to 23.4. This is a hybrid meeting, and the on-site
registration is already full. However, thanks to Zoom, it is still
possible to register for a remote attendance here:
https://easybuild.io/eum26

Registration is required if you want to actively participate and want to
ask questions. I am aware that there might be a huge time difference
between your location and the conference time zone. However, like
always, the talks will also be available on YouTube later, but then you
will not be able to ask questions of course.

Also, there are quite some webinars around EESSI, the European
Environment for Scientific Software Installation, in April and May:
https://www.eessi.io/docs/training-events/2026/webinar-series-2026Q2/

Again, to actively participate you will need to register.

EESSI is a way to use pre-build high performant software, which is made
available via CernVM-FS, so there is no need to build the same software
over and over again. Furthermore, you can build on top of it which means
quite some of the already existing high performant libraries for your
CPU architecture might be already available. Have look at that in more
detail at their website, or sign up for the webinars which are promising
to be good.

All the best from a sunny London!

Jörg
