The patch at:
www.phy.duke.edu/brahma/eepro100.c-0.99B.patch
has reportedly cured the problem for three people now. Please report
back to the list if it works for you so Don can incorporate the patch
(or a new and improved version of the same thing:-) in his latest
release version.
Be sure if you compile the driver as a module and insert it by hand
that you used -D__SMP__ on the compile line.
