recommeded setting for an SMP Linux box

Greetings -

I have a Redhat 6.0 system running then SMP kernel.  Currently the
eepro100 driver is loaded in the conf.modules with the default parms
(i.e. none).  I have seen on the archives of this list people using
parms other than the default settings.  Is there a recommended set of
parms other than the default ones to use?  particularly if they improve
performance or stability.  My system is a WWW, FTP and Quake2 server and
it goes direct into a Baynetworks 10baseT switch.
