Intergraph IS80

I have a Intergraph Box model IS80 with and eepro 100b built on to the
mother
board i can get it running and talking to then net when using linux in a
single
processor mode eeverything seems to be fine

when recompiled in SMP mode it doesn't work get an error like
SIOCONTROL or some SIO message? dont remember off hand

has anyone set one of these boxes up using SMP and the on board eepro
or if using one of these box what was needed to get it to work right?

what bios settings
what kernel of redhat?
what version of the eepro driver?

any help would be great!!!!
