Well, I've installed the 2.2.15pre16 kernel which has version 1.20.2.3 of
the eepro100 driver and I'm still seeing problems.

I'm running an application that makes a TCP connection to a server and
resends all data that it receives as UDP broadcast packets.  All of this
happens on the eth1 interface.  Traffic is low - about 4 packets in per
second, and 8 (4 TCP ACKs and 4 UDP broadcasts) packets out per second.

After some period of running (5-10 minutes), the eth1 interface locks up.
Some time after that (another couple of minutes) the machine locks up
completely.
This last time I saw the following message in the syslog:

eth1: Transmit timed out: status 0090  0020 at 13703/13731 command 000c0000.
