Hello,
I am dual booting Win98 and Mandrake Linux, release
7.1, kernel 2.2.15-4mdk on the machine in question.
eth0 is an Intel 82558 based PCI Ethernet
Adapter(10/100) integrated on the Asus P2B-L
motherboard.
I am using the 192.168.1.x subnet of IP Adresses with
DHCP behind a Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL router that
provides NAT, routing, DHCP, etc. It's address is
192.168.1.1, and is the Default Gateway for my
network.
Networking when booting to Windows works perfect. When
I boot to Linux, I can ping the loopback address, and
the local assigned address, but nothing else (the
router, other machines on the network, etc...) Also,
when I attempt to ping the Linux box from another
station on the same subnet, I get no response.
Currently, I have disbaled DHCP on the Linux box, and
assigned it the address 192.168.1.2, and set up an
exlusion on the router/DHCP server.
Here are the results of ifconfig, route, and the
/prco/pci and /interrupts. Thanks for any help!!!
