Dear All,
we've just sat up a 24 nodes beowulf here in the lab.
We used Red Hat Linux 6.0, i.e. Kernel 2.2.14
We initially used the driver from :
ftp://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/linux/drivers/eepro100.c
and we were experiencing similar problems to those reported recently on
the list.
We found a message of Mon Jan 31 2000 by richard@iguana.co.nz where it is
written at the end
"As far as my experience has been thus far, 2.2.1* + the 1.09t driver
above has been the most stable."
We then got the 1.09t and then all our problems were gone. The cluster has
been up for two weeks and it seems being doing fine.
The 1.09t driver can be found at :
ftp://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/linux/drivers/test/eepro100.c
Bye,
Leonardo
