status=0x4050

Hi:
I am having problems with an intel eepro100 nic. I keep getting "eth0: 
Too much work at interrupt, status=0x4050" errors at the 
console...sometimes the machine becomes unusable over the network and I 
have to restart...any ideas
RH4.2 w/all patches, driver is eepro v0.99B...never really had problems 
with this until recently...

Any ideas are welcome
