You are probably be right. I have tried the network card in three
different systems. One with kernel 2.4-pre9, a RedHat 6.1 and a RedHat
6.2 system. I must have them mixed up by accident.

The log is not so verbose when I boot my system, because the debug
parameter is not set during boot time. I remove the module manually with
rmmod and reinsert it with debug=10. Then I start the network setup
script, and after a while I shut it down. When network should be up, I
can not send anything to the link, while the same setup works fine for
other network cards.

I might be doing something wrong, but I can't work on that machine till
Thuesday. I will have another look at it and mail back after I checked
everything a second time.
