The driver is an Eepro100. This is the dmegs info:
eepro100.c:v1.09j-t 9/29/99 Donald Becker

I read somewhere on deja that the intel e100 driver might be better than
the eepro100 driver. Any experience with it?

timedout with(0xffffff90)!
The ethernet controller somehow got into a strange state where it no
longer
communicates or even updates its registers. I don't know what the
numbers
0xffffff90 and 0x10 mean. Do you know which driver and what version are
you
using?
