[eepro100] Intel 82562ET EEPRO/100 freezing problems

It took a little longer, but it did hang afterall.

I have no problems with eepro100 on 100Mbps and have different versions
and a lot of them around and various switching/hub equipement. But since I
cannot always know what media type will be available on site, I'd love to
figure out how to avoid this lock-ups.
