[realtek] problem with ver. 1.09

Hello,

My system:

Dual Celeron, Redhat 6.2 (kernel version 2.2.14.50 - I think)

I have been able to successfully compile rtl8139.c as per instructions,
however, when I try to load the module, I get the following error:

[root@digital modules]# insmod rtl8139.o 
rtl8139.o: unresolved symbol pci_drv_unregister
rtl8139.o: unresolved symbol pci_drv_register


I was also able to compile the diagnostic tool and was able to run that
with any problems (ie. the card was detected without any problems). 
Would anyone have any insight into this problem?
