[realtek] Too much work...

Hi,
I'm having the same problem. For my concern it got "a little" fixed with
latest offical kernel 2.4.12 (8139too version 0.9.19). The timeouts still
occur, but more seldom and they don't freeze the connection anymore. My 8139C
is connected to an ADSL modem, maybe that's a problem.
What is your card connected to? Hub, switch, fixed 10-mbit, dual-speed hub?
This list deals with rtl8139 driver by Donald Becker I guess, but in 2.4
kernels they use 8139too driver which is written by Jeff Garzik, so you
might wanna address to linux-kernel mailing list. I've recently seen
someone else post that problem.
