[realtek] Unresolved Symbols - Mandrake 8.1

Hi, this is a problem with Realtek 8139..... I compile: pci-scan.c and 
rtl8139.c .... there is no wrong messages, just it compiles "fine"...... 
(both pci-scan.o and rtl8139.o appears)....

but when I try to 'insmod' them, there are a LOT of "unresolved symbols" 
I have Mandrake 8.1 (with the original 2.4.8-26 kernel)
What do I have to do to insert the modules without errors?
