By default - the boot messages are stored in /var/log/beowulf/node. - application 'syslog' message are discarded - kernel messages are retained in the kernel message queue. They may be viewed with 'bpsh dmesg' You can configure the system to log messages to /var/log/messages on each node or forward messages to the master for combined logging This is done in series 28 by setting up an additional script in /etc/beowulf/init.d We have the structure for a RFC3164 syslog facility in the current node control program, and are considering adding an integrated user-level forwarding feature in the future. This would avoid a duplicate daemon running on each node. (Few or no compute node daemons is one of the performance and reduced complexity advantages of Scyld Beowulf.) Would you find this useful? No. But it won't be up-to-date until the beginning of April. The master copy is on http://blueraja.scyld.com/pipermail/scyld-users/ along with the mailing list control and archive systems. The www.beowulf.org name points to the new high-bandwidth hosting facility which has the web site, but which isn't yet handling the mailing lists while we track down some problems. -- Donald Becker becker@scyld.com Scyld Computing Corporation http://www.scyld.com 410 Severn Ave. Suite 210 Scyld Beowulf cluster system Annapolis MD 21403 410-990-9993 From ZukaitAJ at nv.doe.gov Mon Mar 24 15:02:07 2003 From: ZukaitAJ at nv.doe.gov (Zukaitis, Anthony) Date: Tue Nov 9 01:14:27 2010 Subject: [scyld-users] AMD 760MPX Install problems Message-ID: <09AE3D324A22D511A1A50002A5289F216F3055@lao-exchpo1-nt.nv.doe.gov> I am having trouble getting 27b7-7 to install on my system.
