Hello, I'm also seeing this. Also using D-Link DFE-500TX rev C6. I'm
not using ftp, but I see theese problems when doing big data
transfers.
The funny thing is, that the card seem to work, it only drops the
first X packets when it gets into the buggy state.
otherhost$ ping -f buggyhost
PING host: 56 data bytes
..........................
and then it starts to answer the pings with no packet loss. Repeating
"ping -f" gives the same output (initial packet loss, then works OK).
ifconfig down + up gets the card/driver/whatever out of the buggy
state, until it re-occurs. I don't have to load/unload the tulip
kernel module.
Linux 2.0.35 and tulip.c 0.88.
Any suggestions? Solutions?
I'll run tulip-diag when the card is the "buggy" state, if it would
help anyone.
