I'm running two of these same cards in a Debian (Potato) box with 2.2.16
kernel without any problems. I am using v.91g-ppc driver that was installed
by default and it works much better for me than the v.92X drivers (I've
tried them all except .92t). I do not pass any options to the card. BTW, why
do you want to force half duplex instead of using autonegotiation?

This card does not seem to use MII transceiver as I ran the mii-diag, but it
said quite catagorically: SIOCGMIIPHY on eth0 failed: No such device
Guess that explains that...From the pdf file I downloaded from Macronix I
have discovered that it comes with something called Adaptive Network
Throughput Control (ANTC), they call it innovative and proprietary design
(although thats not what comes to my mind...). Just wish the box would
detail
these things more, half the time its like a lucky dip.
The pdf goes into more technical details with lots of diagrams. Not sure if
its any use though.
Thanks for all the effort, I do appreciate it.
