so your IP address is 192.168.0.1 ?
what does the command route shows ?
you will need to tell the kernel what packets it should route to eth0
to route everything to eth0 issue this command:
route add default eth0
BUT IF YOU USE A MODEM CONNECTION to internet, you'd better have your
default route point to your modem (ppp0) so if your winblows computer is
on the same sub-net, try
route add -net 192.168.0.0 eth0
then try pinging ...

Hi all...
I'm still trying to get this 3C905B to work... Here's what I've done so
far...
I've extracted my kernel source (2.0.35) to /usr/src/linux
I've then copied a new 3c59x.c to /usr/src/linux/drivers/net... As far as
I
can tell it's version 0.99F
I've then compiled my kernel with 3COM Vortex / Boomerang support as a
module...
I've then rebooted the machine .... Here is the output of an ifconfig :
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:127.255.255.255 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3584 Metric:1
RX packets:36 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:36 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 coll:0

inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 coll:0
Interrupt:9 Base address:0x6500
This is the output of an lsmod:

So it looks like the card is loading and everything appears fine, but I
can't ping any machines on my lan... The card works fine under windows...
I've tried booting into windows and just soft-rebooting to linux. I've
also
tried power off and straight to linux... None of this has given me any
clues...
I'd really appreciate any help!
