There were two production revs of the Lucent chip used in the 905B:
40-0483-001 <-- Rev 1
40-0483-004 <-- Rev 4
There were a couple of subtle, bug fixes between Rev 1 and Rev 4, which are
incorporated in the 3Com drivers produced by 3Com, and perhaps in some
others like the 3c59x Linux driver used for the 3c905B (and others).
3Com has not documented these bugs externally. It is unlikely that you'll
encounter any problems related to the changes made between these revisions
of the chip. You should be fine using all 8 of your new acquisitions.
