In fact, the machine has 3 32-bit PCI slots and 4 64-bit PCI slots. I
solved this problem today. It seems that if you put 32-bit PCI devices
in 64-bit slots, you can have problems...

The GNIC-II card is now installed in a 64-bit PCI slot and works just
fine. Nerver install a SCSI controller in a 64-bit slot... I also get
rid of the NMI problem by moving the SCSI controller in a 32-bit PCI
slot.
