Berhard,

We will look into this as soon as possible to help resolve the problem. I
will also have the documentation on the G-NIC testing specs that you have
requested as soon as I have gathered them. Thanks for keeping in close
contact with us. We are pleased to be working with you and SuSE, and look
forward to inclusion of our product on you new release.

Hi all, I make a second reply, as we are repeating the back to back
observation with different Hardware now and ran into trouble again.

PC1: SNI PRIMERGY 270 2*PII-400Mhz 32-Bit PCI Bus
PC2: SNI PRIMERGY 870 4*PII-450Mhz 32-Bit PCI Bus choosen.

I'm missing an self test of the card at driver initialisation like that:

eth0: OEM i82557/i82558 10/100 Ethernet at 0x3800, 08:00:06:0D:DB:25, IRQ
29.
Board assembly 742170-254, Physical connectors present: RJ45
Primary interface chip i82555 PHY #1.
General self-test: passed.
Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
Internal registers self-test: passed.
ROM checksum self-test: passed (0x24c9f043).
Receiver lock-up workaround activated.

This is the initialisation sequence of the Intel Etherexpress.

In PC1 here, I got this for example:

Found Hamachi GNIC-II at PCI address 0xfecfe004, IRQ 9.

Looks not very nice.

Can anyone help here?

BTW: Give me the details for the NDA, especially about conditions releasing
GPL source code from looking into the Specifiactions of the registers and
the card.
