GNIC-II Errors

I have several Packet Engines GNIC-II cards, and have, with help from
this list, compiled a module for the card from the 0.14 source code. The
compile went fine, without warnings or errors.
The compile command used by the Makefile is:
gcc -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -Wall _Wstrict-prototypes
-I/usr/src/linux/net/inet -O6 -o hamachi.o -c hamachi.c
The system in question is Slackware linux, kernel 2.2.6, running on an
Intel Dual PIII-450, 512MB RAM, 22GB UDMA IDE HD. The system also has a
built-in Intel EtherExpress Pro 100 NIC which works perfectly without
errors. Another symptom of my problem with the GNIC-II driver is that
Appletalk cannot get a list of Appletalk zones with the GNIC-II, but can
with the EEP 100.
The card works, and sees the network, but generates a surprisingly large
number of errors. As far as I can tell, any other systems connected with
the cable/connection have no problems, so it appears to be the driver or
interaction of the driver with the rest of the system. Here is the
output from ifconfig -a:
dummy Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
