GNIC-II Hamachi Driver

I am trying to use the GNIC-II Hamachi driver with 2.2.1, as we need 2.2.x
for SMP support. (I'm not going to 2.0.x SMP with a quad xeon, thank you)
I manage to tweak the driver to the point where the card is recognized
correctly, as far as I can tell, and it does seem to do bandwidth
negotiation. However, that's about all that works.
Here's the lovely error message that I get:
