Something Wicked happen when using an Alteon 180e switch w/ GNIC II's

I just rec'd an Alteon 180e switch, plugged my GNIC II's in, loaded the
hamachi driver, tried to bring up the interface via bootp, and I either
get no response or Something Wicked happened! 30100.

I've been able to get two nodes working thru this switch (one's IP was
statically defined... the other got it's via bootp)... the rest of the
nodes can't talk to this switch.
