Question...

I'm not on the list so if you could please route reply's to me I'd
appreciate it.

I've just installed a Packet Engine G-NIC YellowFin card in our file
server in hopes of increasing it's throughput.  We are plugging it into a
port on our new Cisco 6009 switch that has two gigabit ports on it.  The
card is registering a link but the switch does not.  After some reading we
are lead to believe that it has something to do with auto negotiation.  We
think the card is not communicating to the switch or vise versa so that
they can hit full duplex.  Acording to the spec for gigabit the standards
says if you can't sync up between the switch and the card just drop the
connection.  We think this is what is happening so....  I am looking for
info on how to tell the yellowfin what duplex and such to run at.  I am
also open to being told I'm lost on what I've said we think above.  Thanks
