These are the changes from the softnet conversion (from *way* back
in 2.3.x).  I was working on a hamachi.c that used softnet and the
"new" PCI code (Donald certainly was the driving force, but I'd like
to avoid the flamewar), but it got unceremoniously dropped on the floor
(although I had a driver that built and ran ok for a little while) when
my shipment of Alteon's came in :)  Emails to Donald asking for help
didn't get answered, and Jeff Garzik (of MandrakeSoft fame) helped as
much as he could w/o having hardware available.
