Donald,
I"ve been working with Kelly on this........... attached is
the output from using your latest diagnostic. It is now getting the mac address
correctly in the diagnostic. I looked at the code and while I could hack in a
change to the device driver itself I thought it best to defer to you........ as
I'm unsure from your comments if you are going to implement the do_eeprom_cmd
into the device driver as well......... and it makes no sense to have 10
different versions of your driver floating around. We really appreciate the
time you have spent on this and if we can repay the favor please let us know.
If you are pressed for time and want us to make changes to your driver for this
then we can do so and will forward the source back to you.
( Of course you realize that we being the phone company we will be required to
then charge 10 cents a minute for all data flowing through the driver.......
:-) just kidding...... )
Best regards,
Dan DeVault

Doh! That was in the new code to support /proc/bus/pci for 2.2.* rather
than /proc/pci from the older kernels.
Fixed.

Exactly what I needed to know.
Please try v0.09 of 6/28/99
ftp://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/linux/diag/eepro100-diag.c
I expect this to become v1.00, perhaps after removing read_eeprom() in favor
of using do_eeprom_cmd() for both reading and writing.
