[eepro100] eepro100 doesn't work with 2.4.x kernel

Hi All,

   I'm using SuSE 7.1 with 2.4.0 kernel.  While installing the OS itself
I configured eepro100 card ( dual ported ).
Once the machine came up it worked fine but once the machine was
rebooted it stopped working.  The same with
2.4.4 kernel. But with 2.2.18 kernel it simply works fine. On the same
machine I have both the kernels ( 2.2.18 and 2.4.4 ).

On the console it throws the error
modprobe: can't locate the module.......

ANy help will be appreciated ...
