[eepro100] Can't insmod on 2.4.12 / debian unstable

I've successfully built the latest version of both the eepro100.c and
pci-scan.c on kernel 2.4.12 on a debian unstable box. However, I can't
insmod the modules, I get symbol errors. I am attempting to use the
latest version of the driver to eliminate the "wait_for_cmd_done
timeout" on my toshiba tecra 8200 laptop's built-in NIC.

to compile, I did:
gcc -DMODULE -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O6 -c eepro100.c
gcc -DMODULE -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O6 -c pci-scan.c

no errors.

When I insmod, I get:
