Hi,
My tulip card worked with kernel 2.2.13 but has broken with the new driver
in 2.2.14.
Using tulip as a module, I get:
eth0: Digital DC21041 Tulip rev 17 at 0x6000, 00:00:C0:B2:A2:DE, IRQ 9.
eth0: 21041 Media table, default media 0800 (Autosense).
eth0: 21041 media #0, 10baseT.
eth0: 21041 media #4, 10baseT-FD.
eth0: 21143 10baseT link beat good.
eth0: 21041 transmit timed out, status fc260000, CSR12 000050c8, CSR13
ffffef01, CSR14 ffffffff, resetting...
eth0: 21143 10mbps sensed media.
Then it doesn't seem to work. ifconfig reports:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:C0:B2:A2:DE
          inet addr:131.111.200.163 Bcast:131.111.255.255
Mask:255.255.0.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:406 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:810
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:9 Base address:0x6000
/proc/pci contains:
  Bus 0, device 20, function 0:
Ethernet controller: DEC DC21041 (rev 17).
Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 9. Master
Capable. Latency=32.
      I/O at 0x6000 [0x6001].
      Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xe4000000 [0xe4000000].
----------
The driver in 2.2.13 is fine. I get:
tulip.c:v0.89H 5/23/98 becker@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov
eth0: Digital DC21041 Tulip at 0x6000, 21041 mode, 00 00 c0 b2 a2 de, IRQ
9.
eth0:21041 Media information at 30, default media 0800 (Autosense).
eth0: 21041 media #0, 10baseT.
eth0: 21041 media #0, 10baseT.
Although I do get lots of collisions in ifconfig:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:C0:B2:A2:DE
          inet addr:131.111.200.163 Bcast:131.111.255.255
Mask:255.255.0.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:359996 errors:49 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:77
          TX packets:2667 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:2028 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:9 Base address:0x6000
I noticed a similar problem in the mailing list, but thought this would be
helpful. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeremy.
