GNIC-II on Linux-Alpha

Hi:

Has anyone gotten a GNIC-II to work on Linux-Alpha?  I've got a Microway
Screamer 533 (LX164) and I put the GNIC-II in one of the 64-bit slots. 
I can see the board with cat /proc/pci, and I can load the driver (it's
a module), but when I ifconfig the interface, the machine resets.
