Hello,
I'm trying to load the hamachi module on a Dell PowerEdge 6300/400
with the following error:
hamachi.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
The GNIC-II card is installed in one of the three 64 bit PCI slot of
the Dell computer. The Dell PowerEdge is running 2.1.126-pre3-ac2 SMP
because it needs a better SMP support. The machine has 4 Pentium II
Xeon with 1 MB cache per CPU. This machine gives me IRQ deadlock with
2.0.35 then I had to upgrade to the latest 2.1.xxx.
I have another GNIC-II card installed in a Dell Workstation 410 and
the hamachi module installation goes very well:
Found Hamachi GNIC-II at PCI address 0x00000000 fcfff004, IRQ 9.

eth2: Hamachi GNIC-II type 10911 at 0x10853000, 00:e0:b1:04:14:44, IRQ 9.
eth2: 32-bit 33 Mhz PCI bus (60), Virtual Jumpers 30, LPA 0000.
This machine is running 2.0.35 SMP.
The /proc/pci output doesn't show me the GNIC-II card on the PowerEdge
while I can see it on the Workstation 410:
Bus 2, device 9, function 0:
Ethernet controller: Unknown vendor Unknown device (rev 1).
Vendor id=1318. Device id=911.
Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 9. Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=16.Max Lat=1.
Non-prefetchable 64 bit memory at 0xfcfff000.
I/O at 0xfc00.
Can somebody help me with the "Devive or resource busy" problem ? Is
the problem can be due to 2.1.126 or to the 64 bit PCI slot ?
Thanks a lot ?
